'What's a family anyway?'

Isabel: Have you seen this bit in the paper? It says the family's changing in Spain. That the traditional family is getting less 'traditional', you know, like who's living together in a house and what they do.

Josep: It's true, especially in the big cities. In the Ramblas in Barcelona you often find couples of men or women who walk hand in hand and live together.

Edurne: Yeah but it's also things like divorce, you know like my parents. I don't like it but I have to accept it because it was their choice. Things change, people change...

Isabel: Isn't this just a western thing though? You know, change, the pace of life, those kind of things?

Josep: Maybe - I s'pose all cultures are changing, but we don't have to adapt or agree with everything. Mind you, we can share and learn from each other.

Edurne: Although, my Dad says it's important not to believe everything you read in the papers!
